How to plan it

Book only through the official ticket office and choose the first available slot.

Reach Piazza San Marco at least fifteen minutes early.

Choose the Basilica, Pala d'Oro or Museum and Horses Loggia before you arrive.

After the visit, leave the square through the Mercerie before the busiest hour.
Local tips
- Monday to Saturday, the first listed tourist entry is normally 9:30; on Sundays the Basilica opens to visitors in the afternoon.
- The ticket has a short tolerance window and is not an open entry.
- Large bags and trolleys are not permitted; shoulders and knees must be covered.
